Harry stood awkwardly in front of a set of huge wooden doors. They were beautifully carved solid oak doors, with skilled designs etched all over them. Next to the doors were two gleaming and polished suits of armour, holding shiny blades. The whole thing looked extremely impressive and made Harry feel as if he were in the company of majesty…which he was.

“How long?” Harry asked Albus.

“Soon Harry, soon.” Albus replied cheerfully, dressed in official Wizengamot robes. Harry was dressed in some black robes with a gold trim and looked very uncomfortable.

“Do I really have to do this?” he asked for the sixth time.

“You saved the Heir to the throne and the Royal Family wants to pay its respects. Bare with it, this could help us. The full backing of the Royal Family could not do us any harm.” Albus said. “Relax Harry, you will be fine. Just be yourself.”

Harry nodded nervously. “Where’s everybody else?”

“This is a simple meeting, just to say thank you. Afterwards you will be swarmed with the Press. Remember to stay cool and collected, try to be funny.” Albus said seriously. “Make them like you, while I am the official representation of the magical folk, you are the legend. You were caught on TV fighting and using powerful magic that dazzled Muggles worldwide. Your exploits have been printed in the papers for weeks and many see you as the most famous Wizard since Merlin.”

“Shit.” Harry murmured. “Always me.” He muttered.

“Most people would love to be in your position.” Albus noted.

“I’m not most people.” Harry grumbled.

“Yes, I had noticed.” Albus said.

There was a gong and Albus smiled. “They are ready for us.” He said. He flicked his wand and the doors slowly started opening. “Remember, look proud and powerful.” He muttered as the doors opened.

Captain Murdock stood at attention with his unit. He had received several recommendations for medals and awards and the Queen was even suggesting of knighting him. He had been put on permanent guard duty for the Royal Family and was awaiting the two most recognised wizards in the world, Albus Dumbledore and Harry Potter. The room was large, with tables on the side filled with Nobles and other famous and recognised people, including the Prime Minister of England and the Prime Minister of Australia. His guard stood along the centre carpet, the one that led straight to the throne where the Queen was sitting, her eyes bright.

There was a gong and slowly, the door started opening. In walked a powerful looking man, with long snowy white hair and twinkling blue eyes that gave off an unearthly look. While the man was dressed in purple robes that gave him a look of extreme importance, Murdock could see that while the man was old, he was very fit for his age. The man’s companion, a teenage boy, looked just as intimidating. He had scruffy black hair that Murdock doubted it could be tamed. His emerald eyes glowed with something magical, as his piercing gaze swept over the room. He was smaller than the elderly man, but held himself just like him. He was dressed jet-black robes, with a silver trim and walked confidently along side the other two wizards. Indeed, they looked awe inspiring and commanding.

Harry stomped down on his nervousness as he walked into the room. There were a lot of importantly dressed muggles seated along the side on tables. There was a row of standing guards with guns out, standing at attention. Behind them were a camera crew that was filming the entire scene and Harry had to suppress a groan. At the end of the room, there was a long table with a throne at the centre and sitting in it was the Queen. Harry ignored the small whispers that broke out and matched Albus’s stride as he walked through the room. As soon as they both passed a set of guards next to them, the guards would break a salute. Harry squirmed but kept walking until they reached the end, facing the Queen. Next to him, Albus dropped to one knee and Harry started, before shrugging to himself and doing the same.

“Welcome, Albus Dumbledore and Harry Potter.” The Queen said, her voice echoing throughout the room. “Please, stand.”

Harry and Albus stood, Albus looking calm and collected and Harry looking a tiny bit confused.

“I thought you said that this was going to be a small event.” Harry muttered to Albus through the side of his mouth.

“In my old age, I tend to forget these things.” Albus muttered back. Harry scowled lightly, before turning his attention back to the Queen, who was looking very amused.

“Albus Dumbledore, you have a seat up here for you. Harry Potter, there is a seat over at the children’s table or you may sit up here and discuss things with us, it is your choice.”

“I’ll sit over at the children’s table thank you,” Harry said. “My knowledge in politics is limited, and with my mouth I might start an national war.”

The Queen chuckled as Albus walked up and sat down next to her, while Harry walked over to the table where kids were sitting down and plopped himself into a seat. He ignored the children’s stares and waited as the Queen stood.

“I would like to thank you all for coming here today on this historic occasion.” The Queen said. “It has been a while since the magical and the Muggle folk met and dined together such as this. Hopefully, the plague of silence will be lifted as the two communities rejoin for the good of the human race. It has been long since I have scene such heroic acts of valour of bravery, but Albus Dumbledore and Harry Potter’s actions have saved many English lives, including my son-in-laws. Today, they will dine with us as we begin a new era with our neighbours, our brothers and sisters and our friends. Albus, do you have any words to say?”

Albus stood, his eyes twinkling. “I would like to thank the Queen for her gracious invite. But as I’m sure many of you do not want to listen to the ramblings of an old man, I will be brief. I have a few words to say and here they are. Fax! Fork! Fawkes! Phone and Fox! Thank you!” He sat back down as the first of the waiters entered the room.

“Um…is he alright in the head?” A little girl asked, staring at Dumbledore at confusion.

Harry laughed. “The Jury’s still out on that question.” He said cheerfully. Many of the kids lightened up after that and the tension in the air seemed to lessen.

“So, you’re a real wizard!” The girl said. She was about six, with brown plaits and wide brown eyes.

“That’s right.” Harry said cheerfully.

“Can you do magic?” Another kid asked.

“Don’t be stupid Robert.” A boy said scornfully. “Of course he can.”

“Everybody calm down.” Harry said sternly. The mutterings ceased as Harry took out his wand.

“Watch!” Harry said and he flicked it. Sparks flew out of it and suddenly a few butterflies popped out. There was a lot of gasping at the table, especially from the girls as the multicoloured butterflies flew around.

“So you can make butterflies.” The same boy said scornfully. “Big deal.” The boy had blonde hair, blue eyes and a smirk that reminded Harry of Malfoy.

“I can make quite a bit more than Butterflies.” Harry said lightly, “But it’s time to eat!”

“Prove it!” The boy shouted. There was silence in the room as everybody turned to that table. Albus stopped eating and was giving Harry and encouraging look.

“Fine.” Harry said crisply. “What do you want to see?”

The boy sneered. “Make magic to hurt someone! Don’t give me pansy stuff, make cool and exciting magic!”

Harry smirked back at the boy. “Fine.” He said. He waved his wand and a matchstick was conjured.

“Is that it? The Boy asked incredulously. “That sucks!”

“Maybe if you had a little bit of patience, you would see.” Harry said sharply. His eyes bore into the boy, until he squirmed in his seat before Harry looked away, waving his wand again. The matchstick grew long and silvery, into a perfect needle and Harry levitated it.

“Watch this.” He said. “I actually thought of this the other day. Banisho!” The needle was banished away from Harry and to the wall.

Multiplicus Duplicto! Multiplicus Engorgio!” Harry chanted. The needle quivered as it split into two, then four, then eight, then sixteen, then thirty two needles, all whizzing through the air. They started to grow rapidly and went they drove into the wall, they were as big as spears, all glinting menacingly as they were shoved halfway through the wall. There was a silence as the boy paled and looked at the wall with awe, before the Queen started clapping. Soon the whole room was clapping and Harry resisted a blush as he fidgeted in his seat.

“Excellent use of fourth year magic!” Albus said. “You see, to duel successfully it is not only the amount of power and spells you know, it is also the creativity that you possess.” He told the Queen.

Harry waited until the room had gone back to normal before he whipped his wand out again, vanishing the oversized needles and repairing the wall.

“That was cool!” the girl said excitedly. “Do something else!”

Harry smiled and flicked his wand again. A rose burst out of the tip and he handed it to her. The girl giggled as she took it and Harry grinned. Maybe this lunch wouldn’t be so bad after all. Or maybe it would be worst.

The doors were open when Alastor Moody walked in with Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks. Harry waved them over and Remus and Tonks walked over. Tonks was holding a little baby girl, with black hair and green eyes.

“I’m starting to think this kid is yours Harry.” Remus remarked as he sat down on the chair Harry conjured for him. “It looks like you.”

“That’s right Moony.” Harry said seriously. “Me and Tonks have been having an affair.”

“Nice try Harry!” Tonks said. “But I like my men big and strong.” She gave Remus a hug then as she squeezed into the seat with him. Remus blushed madly and Harry laughed.

“So, how’s Melinda?” Harry asked.

Tonks snorted. “Hasn’t stopped looking like you since she saw you. Here, hold your Goddaughter.”

Harry took the small baby, who gurgled happily as she recognised Harry. Harry smiled and rocked her in his arms.

“You sure you want to keep her?” Harry asked.

“Sorry Harry, maybe some other day…when she becomes a teenager.” Tonks said.

Harry shuddered as he handed the baby back. “I have a hard enough time looking after myself at this age, imagine trying to raise one!”

A flash blinded Harry for a second and he was on his feet and wand out and a curse on his lips. The photographer looked startled as Harry aimed his wand at him, before sighing and sitting down.

“My apologies.” He said. “You startled me.”

The photographer nodded, unsettled before a reporter sat down next to Harry. He saw a cameraman filming him and repressed a groan.

“Mr Potter, would you be willing to answer a few questions?” The reporter asked.

Harry sighed. “Why not?” he muttered.

“Don’t like the press?” the reporter asked, somewhat disappointed.

“Don’t like the wizarding press, hopefully you’ll be much better.” Harry said.

“Okay. What does it feel like to be one of the most famous wizards in the world?”

“…Annoying.” Harry said. “Knowing me, I’ll be mobbed by fans or something.”

“What’s your opinion on the rising group, the Purifiers?”

“Never heard of them.” Harry said.

“Haven’t you? There a group of normal people…I mean muggles, that want to destroy everything magic.” The reporter said.

Harry snorted. “That ideas had been around since the times of the Roman empire. I doubt it’ll happen now.”

“What did it feel like duelling Lord Voldemort?”

“Tiring. The man’s a psychotic, manipulative, ugly and evil maniac, but he’s powerful.” Harry said.

“Do you have anything to say about your guardians? They have been unavailable to answer any comments.”

Harry smirked. “Actually, I do. Run. Because when I return to your house, it’ll be either with a wand or a team of police to arrest you for child neglect charges.”

“So they were abusive?”

“No, neglectful. They kept me downtrodden as long as they could to try to stomp the magic out of me.” Harry said.

“Do you have a girlfriend?”

“No. I got a few interested people in mind, though knowing her she’s probably swearing at me right now and telling me to get my head out of the gutter. Pity the gutter’s so comfortable though.”

Harry suddenly felt something cold and dark. He ignored the reporter’s next question as he frowned, trying to remember what it was until he felt a coldness emit from his soul. He stiffened and swerved his head to look at Dumbledore, who was also frowning. Albus stood, as did Harry.

“Harry, what is it?” Remus asked, before the feeling washed over him. “Shit!”

“Honey? What is…” Tonks stiffened and Melinda began to cry.

“Dementors!” Harry hissed, just as the lights went out and the room was pitched into icy blackness’s

**********************

“Lumos Incendio!” Harry muttered and his wand flared as bright flames spat out, hovering in the air in a fiery trail and lighting the room somewhat.

“What’s going on?” The reporter asked anxiously.

“Dementors.” Harry answered curtly.

“Dementors?” The reporter repeated in confusion.

“They’re creatures that have dark powers, sucking all he good emotions out of people before giving them a kiss, which steals their soul ad leaves them as good as dead.” Remus explained as he stood. “I don’t know how they got past the wards.”

“Voldemort.” Harry snorted as he held his wand up. “Expecto Patronum!”

A bright and silver stag burst from his wand, glowing and shining with unrivalled brilliance. It snorted and gazed around the room. Harry nodded at it and pointed at the table.

“Guard the kids.” He ordered. Prongs nodded as he galloped towards the table, hovering slightly in the air.

“Expecto Patronum!” Albus chanted and a silvery light engulfed him as a hoary coloured phoenix flew out of his wand.

“Expecto Patronum!” Remus muttered.

“Expecto Patronum!” Tonks bellowed.

Two more Patroni joined the ever-growing flock of silver animals. From Remus came a snarling wolf, with silvery drool and glaring eyes. From Tonks came another wolf, identical to Remus’s and looking remarkable like his werewolf form.

“Where are they?” The little girl asked in a frightened voice.

“I don’t know.” Harry said. “Just stay calm, we’ll deal with them.”

Suddenly, the doors burst open and Harry felt a wave of unimaginable coldness and death wash over the room. Many Muggles dropped to the ground as their minds were raped of happiness and hope. The flames that Harry had created were dimming, leaving only the silvery light of the Patroni to light the room. From the doors came a never-ending sea of cloaked figures. They glided into the room, seemingly sucking up all of the good in the room with rattling breaths. The Muggles that were still conscious couldn’t see anything but the Wizards could. Albus directed his wand and his silvery phoenix swooped down. For a moment, the muggles could see a silvery light trying to pierce the shadows, where dark and gloom seemed to move.

“Expecto Patronum!” Harry muttered. Another Stag burst out of his wand, crying angrily as it charged towards the Dementors. Remus and Tonks’s Patroni joined him as the three guardians of light tried to keep the darkness at bay. But there were too many of the creatures and soon Prongs started to fade. Harry desperately tried to cast another Patronus charm but felt another wave of cold assault his already battered body. He whimpered and fell to the ground on his hands and knees. The Dementors moved forward quickly, circling the room. A Muggle guard held his own against the Dementor’s mind powers for a few seconds and raised his weapon. As the silver phoenix attacked once again, he let loose rounds of booming gunfire into the darkness. There was an echo as the man’s clip ran out and he desperately tried to reload, before a Dementor glided forward. The man looked horrified as he felt invisible hands grab his shoulders and wrench him upright. To weak to struggle, the man could only cry as the Dementor released its hood and pressed his mouth against it’s own. The man felt a searing and unbearable pain as something as sucked out of his body, before he felt himself drift away, his conscious mind dead.

Harry could only watch as the man dropped limply to the ground. He sent more power to Prongs, who was still keeping away the Dementors from his table. He felt weak and shuddery as the Dementors glided forward towards him. Next to him, Remus was muttering madly to himself and Tonks was crying while trying to shield her child. Harry reinforced his Occlumency shields, but all it did as block the screams of his mother. As the Dementors glided forward, closer and closer, he felt the energy drain out of him and his Patroni sizzled before fading reluctantly. Harry felt the Dementor grab his shoulders and he felt the chilly and freezing skin send an arctic numbness through his body. He gasped as he tried to hold his wand.

“I-I-Incendio!” Harry muttered. A splatter of searing flames burst from his wand, sending a few tendrils of heat through his body. They hit the Dementor and there was a pause, as the flames seem to spread quickly, before being absorbed into the dark cloak. Harry tried to cast another spell, but felt the wand clatter from his fingers and onto the ground. He scrambled to break the grip on the Dementor and managed to pick it up with a shaky hand, before the Dementor focused its full power on him. Harry dropped like a stone.

**********************

Albus sent another burst if silvery light at the Dementors, causing them to shriek an unearthly scream. His Patroni soared forward, protecting the head table for now but it was only a matter of time before even the aged Headmaster would fall. Suddenly, the Dementors shrieked in pain as two flashes of flames burst in the air as two phoenixes appeared, singing their melody, which drove the Dementors back. Harry struggled feebly as the Dementor pulled him upwards. He stared vacantly into the Dementor and felt something escape the numbness he was feeling when it removed its hood, revealing rotting and grey skin and empty eye sockets. He was dimly aware of a phoenix that soared through the air as the song vibrated throughout his soul. He felt the song do something, he wasn’t quite sure what, and a warm feeling swept through him, easily shattering the coldness. He had a vision, where a beautiful red haired woman with sparkling green eyes rocked a young baby, with black hair and the same green eyes while another woman watched on from afar. The pictures blurred as Harry could almost feel the loving embrace he was in, and he felt strength unknown to him enter his body. His eyes focussed and he was suddenly aware of his position. He could feel the Dementor try to infiltrate his mind, but it didn’t seem to affect him. Snarling, Harry drew back his fist and let loose. The Dementor shrieked as it flew across the room, the punch holding more power than a boxer would have. Harry drew his wand and suddenly he felt two arms encircle him. He looked around to find nobody there. What he did see was Remus struggling to hold off the Dementors, Tonks shielding her baby as a Dementor hovered above her. The Muggle children in a corner as three Dementors closed on them. He felt a searing wave of courage, and rage mingled with love as his mind wandered back to the embrace he was feeling and he shouted a sentence of words, he didn’t know what they were. The effect was immediate.

From Harry’s wand, came a woman in her early twenties. She was like a Patronus, except instead of silver; she was gold with white shining hair, crystal topaz glowing eyes and a determined look on her face. Harry realised with a jolt that it had pointed ears and large white wings, just before the woman waved her arms and golden light swept through the room. Gold overtook the darkness and cries of pain were heard as strands and swirls of pure golden light hit the Dementors, disintegrating or bursting into dark flames. The onslaught continued as the woman continued sending waves of golden light. The muggles could suddenly see dark figures where there were none, as they fell and tried to escape to no avail as the golden beams struck them. The light receded as the woman glowed brightly and hovered to Harry. The onlookers could only see a bright and blinding golden light where Harry was. Harry could only focus on the woman as she stood above him and helped him up. Harry felt a wave of goodness sweep through him as she touched him and stiffened when she hugged him tightly.

“Do no be afraid little one.” She said. Her voice was young, but wise and had a sense of power underlining it.

“Who are you?” Harry asked.

She laughed. “I am who I am.” She said mysteriously.

Harry scowled. “Great, a female Dumbledore.”

The woman…angel….being…whatever she was giggled slightly. “My name is Evelyn.” She said.

“I’m Harry.” Harry said. He still held his wand tightly, his instincts telling him that she was far more powerful than she looked.

“I mean you no harm. You summoned me here.” Evelyn said gently.

“I did?” Harry asked in confusion.

“You did.” Evelyn said lightly. “You said the words of a long forgotten race and I was called here. It has been several hundred years since that I have even seen a human.”

Harry was dumbstruck. “Are…are you an angel?” he asked.

Evelyn laughed. “You could say that. I am part of another race, a forgotten race from long ago. There was a war, where the dark ones of my kind and us fought. The Dark Ones were eliminated and were reduced to what you were fighting.”

“So, Dementors used to be like you?” Harry asked.

“That is right.” Evelyn said. “We left this realm and created a realm for ourselves. However, we left behind a spell that could summon one of my kind, when you were in need, though it frowned upon by the Elders. We are well protected though the Dark One of your realm has tried to breach our borders several times before, and he has failed. However, the spells on our realm cannot hold up to another onslaught by him so when you summoned me, I was allowed to come.”

“Why don’t you stop Voldemort attacking?” Harry asked curiously.

Evelyn laughed, a sad laugh. “While I my look different from you, I am not as powerful as some of the humans in this room. Our kind is just like yours in the rules of magic and magical rankings. I am considered to the most powerful of my kind, and I am a High Sorcerer and magically weaker than you. We are not fighters, but healers. We have not fought in a war for a millennium and we would easily lose if invaded.”

“You seemed to handle the Dementors well.” Harry said.

“I will teach you that spell if you wish. My race ” Evelyn offered. “I must return to my realm now. I will contact you again.”

“Don’t I have to summon you?” Harry questioned.

Evelyn laughed. “You have already summoned me, just call my name when you want to see me again. Goodbye Harry.” She said and hugged him again, her wings enveloping him. Harry felt something warm sweep over him before she disappeared in a golden globe of light. The light around him receded and he was facing a room of fascinated faces. He looked around. There were several motionless Muggle guards, but most of the people seemed to be okay. There were two phoenixes flying up above as well, singing wildly and calming the hearts of everyone. Several black robes were crumpled on the ground, sizzling and burnt. Nobody spoke until the little kid from before, the arrogant one, said. “That was cool magic!”

A wave of laughter spread through the room and Harry grinned as he sat down. Remus was staring at him before shaking his head.

“Only you.” He muttered.

Tonks whacked him on the arm. “Remus! It’s not polite to say something like that in their face! You say it behind their backs!”

“Gee, thanks Tonks.” Harry remarked sarcastically.

“Where’s the angel?” The little girl said. Her brown eyes were searching the room.

“The angel left.” Harry said. “Did you see it?”

The girl nodded excitedly. “Yeah! She was beautiful and she sent golden light at the evil things, then there was this bright light and no one could see what happened.”

“She went home.” Harry said simply. “She’ll be back though.” He added afterwards.

“Do you know why Voldemort sent those Dementors?” Albus asked after the dinner.

“To kill us?” Harry answered honestly.

“Correct, but to also stop the negotiations. You may have not have noticed, but every leader from the Commonwealth was there. If Voldemort had managed to defeat us all, the Muggle world would go in a panic and he would gain more control. Indeed, they might have even started attacking us.” Albus said as they strolled back to their rooms. The Dinner had finished and the entire palace was shutdown. The Dementor’s had entered via the sewers, which was now warded and guarded heavily.

“Well, he lost.” Harry said frankly.

“Indeed he did. But I am curious to wonder how you managed to kill the Dementor’s.” Albus said.

“I summoned a creature of some sorts. She said that Dementors were the dark wizards of her kind that had lost a war. She killed them then left.” Harry answered.

“Really? Fascinating.” Albus murmured. “I would very much like to talk to this woman one day.”

“Maybe I’ll introduce you.” Harry said. “What I want to know is how I summoned her. I know the spell perfectly, yet I never learnt it.”

Albus smiled brilliantly. “I have a suspicion.” He said as they entered the rooms, where two phoenixes were playing with each other.

“Who’s that?” Harry asked, pointing to the other red and gold phoenix.

“His name is Peri.” Albus said calmly. “He is a friend to Nicholas Flamel and myself and when I summoned Fawkes, he insisted on going along.”

“Okay.” Harry said. “So, what happened to me?”

Albus sat down, looking thoughtful. “I believe that it is your power that the Dark Lord knows not.”

“Really? I can summon a…whatever she was, that’s my power?” Harry said in confusion.

“No.” Albus said calmly. “There is a locked room in the Department of Mysteries. In this locked room lies some of the most ancient and powerful magic to have ever been created. Many have tried to learn it, only to go insane or die from a magical exhaustion. I have learnt tiny fragments of what is in that room, before I knew that if I went further then I would follow the fate of so many. Voldemort had tried to learn something from the room, but he could not. It is not all about power when learning these spells. It is also about emotion. When the Phoenixes appeared, what did you feel?”

“There song did something to me…like they entered my soul.” Harry said in a daze.

“You power is awakening.” Albus said in delight. “The song just created the emotions you needed to fulfil the requirements. You need not visit the room to learn these spells.”

“But it was a mixture of light and dark in the feelings.” Harry said in bewilderment.

“That is correct.” Albus said, his blue eyes twinkling. “Many people think that I am the light Wizard of forgiveness and peace. Many do not know that the true power lies in both light and dark. You need both to fight for your ideals, as I did with Grindelwald. I know just as much Dark Magic as some of the Death Eaters, yet I prefer light magic because it is my specialty. You can not live life on one end of the scale.”

“So…how do I access this room again?” Harry asked tiredly.

“That is for you to find out. Just remember that the magic within is not made for good nor evil, it is our choices that define us.” Albus said wisely. “You look tired Harry, I suggest some sleep.”

Harry nodded tiredly. “That spell took a lot out of me.” He agreed. “Maybe a small nap.”

Albus left quietly as Harry fell asleep to the sounds of two soothing Phoenix songs.

**********************

While Harry was having fun at Buckingham Palace, he was missing his friends, even Hermione. So when he was told that he was returning to Hogwarts he was overjoyed. He skipped back to his room and started packing quickly; flicking his wand and summoning everything back to his trunk. It had been three days since the Dementor attack and since then a lot of things had changed in both worlds. The Commonwealth, both Muggle and magical had declared war on the self-proclaimed Lord Voldemort. Viewers from TV, at least two billion worldwide, had sympathised with Harry and Albus’s cause and had sent flurries of notes of support and donations, giving the Order 1.3 Billion Pounds to work with, and that was before any official finding. The Muggle catholic church, a religious group that had been on the verge of the old witch hunts had changed their ideals very quickly as people all over the world swore that they had seen a flash of a beautiful woman with large white wings. Harry had been told that the Dementor population had been reduced by three quarters. Apparently there had been over one thousand Dementors in the raid; the largest Dementor raid in history and none had made it out. Over twenty-seven people had been kissed, four wizards and twenty-three muggles but over one thousand Dementors had been killed, a feat nobody in over two thousand years could accomplish. Harry was getting very popular in both worlds and was been ranked as one of the strongest wizards in his time…though he was certain that Albus and Moody would wipe him on the ground. But there was also trouble as well. Some people began joining the Purifiers in flocks and the estimated number in this group was over 50,000 worldwide. Raids had occurred on suspected members homes and evidence had revealed that some members had been cops, SAS, army soldiers and other well-trained people that were organising the anti-magic group. But right now Harry wasn’t worried about that.

“Well, someone looks happy.” Someone said wryly from his door. Harry turned his head to see Amanda leaning against the doorframe with a smile on her face.

“I’m going back to Hogwarts.” Harry beamed.

“Missing your friends?” Amanda asked as she walked in.

“Yeah.” Harry answered cheerfully. “Can’t wait to get back.”

Amanda gave a little smirk. “Either can I.” She said.

“What?” Harry asked.

“I’m going to be part of the Hogwarts Security Staff.” Amanda said smugly.

“Really?” Harry said and gave a mock groan. “That’s all I need…two Snape’s, two creatures of Anti-Potter, two demons of Slytherin, bane of the Gryffindors, blight of the house points.”

“Very funny Potter.” Amanda said, a mock glare on her face, before she lightened up. “Seriously though, I’ll be your advisor. Apparently Albus wants you to keep the position for life experience, as he called it.”

“Figures.” Harry snorted as he picked up his trunk. “Now…how are we getting there?”

“Portkey.” Amanda said.

“Where is it?” Harry questioned.

Amanda indicated to a small bracelet she was wearing. “Here. Come here.”

Harry walked over and put a hand on Amanda’s bracelet. She muttered something and they were both gone.

Harry reappeared in the Great Hall, just as a dinner was starting. He removed his hand and arched an eyebrow at Albus. “Did anyone ever tell you that you have a thing for dramatics?” he asked.

Albus chuckled as he stood, his beard quivering. “Actually they did.” He said. “Welcome back to Hogwarts, Harry.”

Harry smiled, before emitting a small gasp as a two red blurs tackled him. He landed painfully on the ground as Ron and Ginny blushed.

“Oops.” Ron said as he helped Harry up. “Sorry Harry.”

“Yeah.” Ginny said as she brushed him off.

“Sure you are.” Harry said sarcastically. “How are you?” he asked.

“Pretty good mate.” Ron said as he led Harry over to the Gryffindor table.

“We’ve been reading about you.” Ginny said as they sat down and chatter started up again. “Fighting Death Eaters, duelling You-Know-Who, killing Dementors…you’ve been busy.”

“Part of the job.” Harry said as he started stuffing his face. Someone sat next to him and Harry turned to face the tentative face of Hermione.

“Harry, I’m so sorry…” She started before Harry lifted a hand to silence her.

“It’s not me you should be saying that to, it’s Remus and Tonks.” Harry said coldly. “Once you’ve apologised to them, I’ll speak to you.”

Hermione nodded tearfully before turning away, leaving an awkward Ron and Ginny.

“Harry, there’s something you should know.” Ron said hesitantly. “I’m…I’m dating Hermione.”

“Good for you.” Harry said.

“Harry, I’m dating Draco Malfoy.” Ginny said calmly. Harry cocked an eyebrow and sighed.

“Ron, after I’m finished do you want to kill a Ferret.” Harry said calmly. Ron looked shocked, horrified and disgusted at the same time.

“MALFOY? GINNY, HOW COULD YOU?” Ron shouted, leaping to his feat and reaching for his wand. Silence filled the Great Hall as people either turned to Ron, Ginny or Malfoy, who was looking confused.

“IF YOU LOVED ME THEN YOU WOULDN’T CARE!” Ginny shouted back, standing abruptly up.

“He’s a dirty stinking ferret!” Ron snapped.

“I love him Ron!” Ginny shouted back and for a minute, Harry glimpsed amusement in both their faces and caught on.

“Ginny, he’s a Malfoy.” Ron said, trying to be calm.

“I don’t care.” Ginny said stubbornly, before waving across the hall. “Hello sweetie, I just had to tell my brothers, all six of them! Don’t worry sunny-bunny, I’ll still love you always.”

Malfoy turned ashen and looked shocked and scared.

“Ginny, think for a moment.” Harry said seriously, his eyes glinting. “You’re a redhead, he’s an pathetic low-life dickwad lover. Think of the children.”

Ginny paused. “Oh, alright. Draco sweetie, I’m breaking up with you.” She called over before turning back to Harry. “Besides, he was too small. It couldn’t even poke through.”

Ron turned green amidst the laughter of the hall. “Ginny, that was going to far.” He informed his sister.

“Potter!” Snape snapped and the hall fell silent. “What exactly is a Dickwad?”

“Oh! It’s the remains of the tissues you put in front of yourself once your done jacking off.” Harry explained cheerfully.

“Fifty Points of Gryffindor!” McGonagall said curtly.

“Fifty Points to Gryffindor...for…um...” Harry trailed off. Catching a First year’s eye, Harry shot up and strode over, putting an arm around the terrified boy. “This wonderful display of school uniform.”

“Potter, not even Professor Snape has sunken that low.” McGonagall said, though her lips twitched.

“Good! I’ve always wanted to sink below expectations.” Harry said cheerfully as he returned to his seat.

McGonagall sighed and returned to her seat in resignation. As the hall snickered, Albus stood up.

“Now that we’re all done our dinner…Mr Weasley, are you done?”

Ron turned red and he quickly dropped a bit of chicken.

“Thank you.” Albus said cheerfully. “Now that we’re done, I’d like to welcome back Mr Potter to Hogwarts, who will be our new Security Officer. He has the privileges of a professor and reports directly to me. If he gives an order, assume that it came from me first. Mr Potter, do you have anything you’d like to say? Any rules you’d like to pass on?”

Harry stood up and cleared his throat. He had prepared a list of things he wanted to show Dumbledore, so now was the time. He felt an uneasy nervousness clamp in his gut, and he swallowed hard as he spoke. “Okay, well I’m not really used to this type of thing but bare with me. From now on, there will be a curfew of 8:30 pm for everybody, including prefects and Head boy and girl.”

There was groaning and mutterings and Harry looked sharply up. “Whinge all you want, but Voldemort has allies that work very well in the darkness. Your common rooms are very well warded to protect from such creatures as these…such as vampires…demons…Dementors…and so forth. Unless you want to run the risk of being eaten by a demon or bitten by a vampire, stay in your common rooms.”

Many students paled at the thought of those creatures and nodded fervently.

“Also, the forbidden forest is still forbidden but even more so. I’m going to be making some defences and if they catch you in there, then you might be hurt or killed.” Harry said. “Apart from that, there’s nothing much. Though I will say this, if someone passes on information to Voldemort about the castle and I find out…I will not be happy. I will be extremely annoyed and by the time I’m done hexing you, you’ll be reduced to nothing more than a piece of sludge. That’s all.”

Albus cleared his throat as the hall burst into mutters. “Thank you Mr Potter.” He said. “I believe curfew starts in fifteen minutes. I suggest you go get ready. Chop, Chop now!”

As the hall stood up, Albus beckoned Harry to follow him as he left the hall. Harry sighed and turned to his friends.

“Listen, Dumbledore wants to see me.” He said.

“We’ll wait for you in the common room.” Ginny said.

“Harry, you sounded like a professor.” Ron exclaimed in mock disgust. “What happened Mate, what happened?”

“I don’t know.” Harry responded and grinned. “Later Ron, Ginny.”

“See ya!” Ginny called as he quickly walked from the hall.

**********************

Harry quickly made his way to Dumbledore’s office and walked up the familiar staircase. He remembered last time he was here, just after the Department of Mysteries when Albus told him about the prophecy, just after Sirius… He shook his head to clear his thoughts and walked in. The office had changed to a relatively small one to a larger one, with a long table in the middle. Seated were all the Professors and some other notable faces, including Tonks, Remus (Who was the DADA professor), Amanda and Kingsley.

“Hello all.” Harry said as he glanced around. The instruments he had smashed a few months ago were all sitting back where they were before. Fawkes was there as well, preening himself with his beak, and Gryffindors sword lay on a display case.

“Hello Harry.” Remus and Tonks said, while Kingsley nodded politely, Amanda beamed at him and Albus twinkled.

Harry sat down next to Tonks and Remus, the latter rocking a small sleeping child.

“As I was saying,” Albus said. “Harry will be in charge of security for Hogwarts. It is to my understanding that Harry, along with Remus’s help, knows Hogwarts better than most, especially with a certain map. Voldemort will most likely attack Hogwarts as his next target and we need to be prepared.”

“Hogwarts?” Flitwick asked in a squeaking voice. “Are you sure?”

“I am sure Filius. The Ministry is too well guarded now that Voldemort has been revealed. As is Diagon Alley, Buckingham palace and several other wizarding spots.”

“What about Muggle locations?” Kingsley asked with his deep voice filled with worry.

“Auror’s and Ward casters have put wards and spells on every Muggleborn house in Britain. Voldemort knows the minute he attacks, Auror’s will be pouring into his location. Similarly, Muggles also know now what phone number to call when they spot a Death Eater. Voldemort is running our of targets.” Albus explained.

“But why here?” Sprout asked. “It’s so well guarded, the wards that the founders themselves put up will keep him at bay.”

“No they won’t.” Harry said as it dawned on him. He looked at Albus, who nodded. “Voldemort’s the heir of Slytherin, he can bypass those wards.”

There was a terrible silence.

“Harry is right. Hogwarts can be easily penetrated now that Voldemort knows that little bit of information. I have no doubt that he will start sending small attacks on our walls, to test our defences.” Albus said wearily. “He will attack this castle full force when he has the capacity to do so.”

“But…But you’re here!” McGonagall said, looking shaken. “Surely You-Know-Who wouldn’t dare attack with you as Headmaster?”

“Alas, I am getting old. My days of duelling will soon be over.” Albus said. “I have neither the power or stamina to keep up with Voldemort.”

“You’re a Master of Magic!” Tonks exclaimed. “You-Know-Who’s only a High Sorcerer!”

“Voldemort has powers I could only dream of.” Albus said pensively. “He is younger, more agile and fit and knows it as well.”

“What about Harry?” Amanda asked. “He’s a High Sorcerer as well, and he’s duelled off Voldemort before.”

“Until the link between Harry and Voldemort is broken off, neither can successfully duel against each other.” Albus said.

“I could always distract him while you and everyone else takes care of what he bought with him.” Harry said thoughtfully.

“We shall discuss this later. Now Harry, what did you have in mind for the defences?” Albus asked.

“I was thinking Muggle and magical sentries.” Harry answered. “Like a chain gun on a magically erected tower, with magical bullets.”

“That sounds…interesting.” Albus said slowly. “What is a chain gun?”

“It’s a large gun that fires tens of thousands of rounds a minute.” Harry said. “They use them on Aircraft carriers to shoot incoming enemy missiles. With enchanted bullets and a couple of warded towers, nothing could come through the forest without getting turned into Swiss cheese.”

“Swiss Cheese?” Severus asked sceptically.

“You know, the cheese with the holes in it.” Harry said and sighed when Severus just looked blank, before he rolled his eyes.

“Ah Potter!” Severus sneered. “Always the one with incomplete descriptions makes me wonder how you ever survived all these years.”

“Now there’s the Snape we all know and hate.” Harry said sarcastically.

The meeting ended successfully, with Harry and others producing several plans for the defences. Harry learned that Remus, Tonks and Kingsley were also part of the Security in Hogwarts. He made his way to the common room only to find that the others were asleep. The meeting had gone on for several hours and he was also quite tired, so he made his way to the boys dormitory and went to bed.
