Review for Catharsis Chapter 8 from Jeram on August 05, 2008
Brilliant, Mr. Steve. Nicely posited, as the saying goes. Let me quote the perverts: "You tease! MOAR MOAR MOAR!" But I still liked this chapter quite a bit. Several mistakes, but only one that I really think you may want to fix: "This wouldn’t happen under Shaklebot, not under me either, imbeciles." It's "Shacklebolt", not "Shaklebot", which sounds like some kind of French-Drink-Robot ("Shake Le Bot").

I was pretty frustrated with this chapter until the end. Don't get me wrong, the whole thing was fantastic (it's impossible not to love Bianca), but it seemed like Harry was moving backwards, if anything. Now THIS....this is pretty huge. Looking forward to more.

I almost forgot that Harry had the Dementors on his side for a while. Awesome update, having the two Voldies fight for dominance sounds extremely intriguing. Can't wait to read more!

Todd??? It that a Monty Python reference? Liked the battle ... liked Tonks on her knees ... like moar!

Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........ How could you end it like that? This one is like a new level of :awesome:, you MUST continue it. I love the cliches, and they make me happy. It works for you. Further review is on FFN, but I had to do one here. ;)

Another fine chapter.

I'm curious to see where you take the Jamie Potter angle. The gorilla explanation was good, and Goyle "going native" was pure gold.
Review for Catharsis Chapter 7 from Memory King on July 14, 2008
Didn't really like The 'Girl Who Lived and her abandoned squib brother' concept at first, nor the new Dark Lord wannabe. The story has grown on me quite a lot all the same, don't think I've ever seen two redoers from different dimensions fucking one time-line up. I loved how Harry took down the DEs at Azkaban, and the twist with Sirius was certainly unexpected, if not heartily welcomed on my part. The one-liners, dark humour, brilliant action sequences and solid descriptions kept me glued to the screen, you certainly know how to tell a story! Harry's power over people has some NC-17 possibilities I wouldn't mind you writing a little about. On the whole, a very well written and entertaining fic, despite all the beaten, dead and clichéd horses present. Looking forward to more!
Author reply
Well for one starting out not liking the premise I am glad it grew on you. This is just a fun piece for me with complete realization that I am using many themes done to death. But strangely it's relaxing. And you have no idea how many people have asked me for the NC-17 possibilities. We shall see about those. Thanks for the compliments, hoop to keep you hooked.

Excellent chapter! You have the pace of this story set perfectly. Even though it is a good idea I just can't picture Narcissa teaching, lol. I suppose I will wait and see if you plan to go down that road (showing a class and all). Even though I can't stand the little prick, I look forward to seeing Harry's interaction with Draco. I can't imagine that Draco would stand for not being the upstart he is, but again that is for later chapers. Semi-nude Tonks is always WIN, but alas we would enter serious perv territory to have anything between them at this age. Love it!
Author reply
Good to hear the pace is working. I think you will be amused at the Narcissa teaching scene, I have two in mind. I can't wait to write Draco, just haven't decided if I kill him off in the end or not. Yeah its too icky with Tonks right now, just playful stuff. But where there is polyjuice there's a way.
Review for Catharsis Chapter 7 from whatareyouevensaying on July 14, 2008
Brilliant as ever. I really enjoyed Narcissa's role in this chapter, it was both important and a little heartwarming. Unfortunately, even as you removed her as a potential complication, you added that Pym fellow... Looking forward to more.
Author reply
Don't worry about Narcissa, I am trying to make her into a complex character that will be interesting to read about. Glad you are liking her so far though. Yes, Pym will be a complication, for good or bad, even I don't know yet.

Haven't read this chapter yet, but I wanted to be the first to review it.

You get a nugget of gold, or at least a ginger snap.
Review for Catharsis Chapter 6 from Heather_Sinclair on July 13, 2008
I'm still trying to get my head wrapped around this story. I like the new spin on the old cliches. There are several one liners that I absolutely love ... the last line of this chapter, for instance. Very interested to see how you are going to use Tonks in this story. Oh, and WTF - Harry can invoke his mother to protect himself from the Killing Curse? Its it kinda like a cross between the Patronus Charm and a coffee filter. It lets just enough of the badness through to wack the victim but the motherly patronus sticks around to give him spiritual CPR. It's the Matronus Charm! Cute idea. It sounds like it should be cliched. Oh crap, you realize that you may have just started a new cliche here. Now all the fangirls across the HP world will have the Matrounus Charm save Harry. Bad Nuhuh!
Author reply
You made my awesome magic into a coffee filter :( and your comparison made me laugh in real life. That was utter fanboyism on my part, I feel so free that I can write stuff like that in just for fun. The Matronus Charm, god, I hope the fangirls don't get on to it.

macabe, and ugly, but beautifly written. A bit darker then I generally like my fiction, but it seems on a upswing. Or maybe it's just wishfull thinking that the shock jump started some of his humanity that the death of his son extinguished.
Author reply
Thanks for the compliments. The chapters take the mood I am currently in. With this story I have license to do anything, so a little dark here, a little humor there.
Review for Catharsis Chapter 6 from Jeram on July 09, 2008
Porous face. Polished show. Messed with Gore. Cousin's Face. Tonks Tam-tams. Cousin's Face.
Author reply
Tonk's Tam Tams, are you making a reference to Tinn?
Review for Catharsis Chapter 6 from whatareyouevensaying on July 09, 2008
Quite a gritty chapter, wasn't it? Just the way I like them. I really liked the idea of using Harry's own Dark magic to get to his relatives, great work with that. There's a lot more that I should praise, but this chapter kinda drained me. Take it as a compliment, please. Looking forward to more.
Author reply
I do take it as a compliment. Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I liked making Harry partially responsible for the thing.
Review for Catharsis Chapter 5 from vylos on July 06, 2008
Damn, Narcissa was posing as his aunt...and now he's made her a foster mother role-playing servant. You really are going all out on this one... What curse did Mortfidele use on her?
Author reply
Narcissa likes all sorts of role playing games. And the curse he used must-not-be-named.
Review for Catharsis Chapter 5 from Jeram on July 06, 2008
Bravo, evil monkey! A nice twist on the expected cries of the masses. It appears you had something interesting in mind after all. Well done.
Author reply
Yeah, I did, glad you liked it. I just had to make sure I executed it right.
Review for Catharsis Chapter 5 from whatareyouevensaying on July 06, 2008
Very interesting update. It seems that Harry is now cursed with a servant that's a little too loving. Still, better this than how she was before. Looking forward to more.
Author reply
Don't worry she won't become intolerable, in fact I am hoping she will be very interesting to read. Hoping anyway.
Review for Catharsis Chapter 4 from Jeram on July 03, 2008
You are a disgusting pig, sir. Harry admiring his Aunt's "luscious curves"? Harry focusing on Bianca's "knickers"? And "gone native"? You have a sick mind. I liked this chapter. Jamie seems like quite an idiot.
Author reply
Haha, he didn't know she was his aunt, and when he did he thought "wrong, wrong, wrong." Also her knickers were on display, it wasn't like he said oooh panties. Last I have no control over what Goyle does, neither does Lucius, so I can't be held responsible. Mhm, I'll have to really stretch to make Jamie redeem herself...in bed. Muhahahahaha! Glad you liked the chapter despite all that.
Review for Catharsis Chapter 4 from vylos on July 03, 2008
Is Jamie a cliché in fanfiction? Really good stuff...the interaction between Harry and Lucius at the end was hilarious. As was the reason...Goyle and a gorilla!! LOL....
Author reply
Hmm I don't know if she is, to be honest. I have read stories where Harry's godmother suddenly appears in his 5th year or something when the entire series wasn't out yet, and they all took different turns, the godmother ended up being Sirius's old girlfriend (Lily's best friend, of course, how cute!) or in one she was Snape's girlfriend and James had banished her or something so she wouldn't shack up with the snake. Glad you're liking Lucius, I am trying to make him somewhat dynamic but not trying so hard that it kills the writing flow, and yeah Gloria the She Gorilla was one of those muse inspired moments I had to put in.
Review for Catharsis Chapter 4 from Lord Ravenclaw on July 03, 2008
LOL. I think imagining Lucius' matter-of-fact tone at the end was the best bit. Entertaining, very much so. Good job, nuhuh.
Author reply
Thanks mate. I really tried to see how Lucius would explain what was going on, had fun writing it. Hey as long as this keeps entertaining you all I don't mind writing a rehash, sort of. :P
Review for Catharsis Chapter 4 from whatareyouevensaying on July 02, 2008
Interesting update. I was a bit disappointed with the ending, truth be told. I like what you've done with Crabbe and Goyle, don't get me wrong, but it's irksome that it isn't resolved, especially considering how much more important the whole Bianca situation is (in my mind, at least). Looking forward to more.
Author reply
Yeah Bianca is much more important but he is out there taking out threats to her life. And personally since this is not a episodic story I think I can not resolve a mini story line in one chapter but carry it over to the next one. Don't worry though Bianca is back in the next one.
Review for Catharsis Chapter 3 from Lord Ravenclaw on July 01, 2008
Entertaining, even if using cliched concepts. Enjoyable though, I look forward to seeing what you have brewed between Harry and Bianca.
Author reply
o.o Ravenclaw reviews?! Thanks. Yeah the concepts are overdone but this is just for plain fun and flow. Glad its more entertaining for readers than I thought it would be.
Review for Catharsis Chapter 3 from Jeram on June 29, 2008
Great chapter. Nice to see that Bianca isn't just an idiot. Like some people I know.
Author reply
Jeram you crack me up. Glad you liked it.
